Nursing Care Management of Clients with Alterations in Oxygen Transport Mechanism

General Objective:
At the end of teaching-learning activities, the students will be able to acquire knowledge, develop skills and
positive attitude in the care of clients with various alterations in oxygen transport mechanism.

Course Objectives
 Discuss the structure and function of the cardiovascular system.
 Perform cardiovascular assessment. – most important phase in the nursing process
 Discuss the pathophysiologic mechanism of every disease process.
 Discuss the rationale of every clinical manifestation.
 Identify the specific medical treatment of every disease process.
 Formulate a plan of care for every patient with alteration in oxygen transport mechanism using the nursing
process.

1. Review of the basic structure and function of Cardiovascular System
2. Assessing patients with cardiovascular problems
3. Nursing Care Management of patients with alterations in oxygen transport mechanism

o Peripheral Vascular Diseases
