CASE SUMMARY
After working as an employee for 2 decades Bill Ford
has earned his position as a chairman in Ford
Industries. With all his experience and qualities, he is
ready for responsibilities but he faces many challenges.
First one of these came as an explosion in Ford Motors
Rouge Plant. Other Challenges included falling sales,
share prices, attrition of important position holding
people and resistance from people who didn’t want to
see a Ford family member as a chairman. Now Bill
Ford has to use all his tricks to get Ford back on the
right track.

 Bill Ford Jr., is the great-grandson of Henry Ford.
 Joined Ford in 1979 as financial analyst and switched 11 jobs
before becoming Executive Chairman in 1998.
 Serving as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of
Ford Motor Company. He also served as the President,
CEO, and COO until September 2006.
