Our range of coil loads offer a novel

approach to the constraints imposed
where high average power levels need
to be terminated and liquid cooling is
not an option.

Principle of design

The coil load employs the fundamental

loss of a circular waveguide that has
been designed to be slightly lower than
the frequency cut off point to produce a
controlled loss effect. The bandwidth of
this style of load is typically 5%. The
microwave energy is safely converted
into heat within the optimum physical
shape. The coil load can also be adapted
for forced air cooling.

Ordering Information

All our coil load products are built to

specific customer requirements. The
specification table details the different
power handling options available for
each frequency range. UBR flanges are
fitted as standard, other flange options
are available on request.
