Connection 1

I related the part when Telemachos and Odysseus killed the suitors to a part from the movie, 300. In the
movie, during the battle, there were two people who were father and son also, fighting side by side. I
think the experience had the same intensity. FATHER and SON fighting side by side!!!

Connection 2

I related the part when Odysseus revealed himself to Laertes to the part in the bible when Jesus
revealed himself to Thomas. In both cases, people were skeptical and had a need for proof. In the bible,
Jesus showed his scars on his hands and Thomas immediately believed. In the Odyssey, Odysseus
showed his scar from a wild boar and Laertes believed.

Connection 3
I was thinking that Odysseus and Telemachos sort of had a war with the suitors. They won because the
divinities intervened. I was thinking that in the world, the “divinities” seem to be countries with large
influence. I related the Odyssey to the Vietnam war. The north and south had a great dispute. The north
won because of the massive support from China. China would be the “divinity” in this case!
