THE ARGAO AGRI DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Project Site:

Three adjacent barangay located along the vegetable highway of Cebu South
namely Kapyaun, Gutlang and Kulawin in Argao, Cebu

Land Area: 5 hectares and still expanding.

Main Product: 1. Meat (Swine, Chicken, Goat)

2. Amapalay and Hot Pepper;

3. Aquarium fishes and African Heto.

Main activity:

1. Mass production of carbohydrates and protein producing crops for animal

consumption such as corn, banana, root crops and different varieties of
beans;
2. Breeding and production of different fish species.

3. Developing expertise and profitability in Ampalaya and Hot Pepper

Production

1. 1 hectare corn field scheduled for harvest on September located at Upper Gutlang mortgage in
the amount of P5,000.00.
2. 1 hectare field just planted with soy beans located along the national highway in Kulawin Proper
mortagage for 5 years in the amount of 60,000.00
3. Cassava and Yellow corn farm located in Upper Kulawin mortgage at P12,000.00 in 5 years.
4. 1 hectare planted with coconut, banana and hot pepper located in Upper Gutlang, mortage at
P8,000.00 for 5 years.
5. 6,000 sqm proposed goat vermin farm located at Gutlang Proper mortgage at 20,000.00 for 5
years.
6. Newly acquired 1 hectare area for aquaculture development located in barangay Kapyuan
mortagage at P15,000.00 for 5 years. The property is located 150 meters below from the biggest
natural spring in the barangay but has a small spring inside the lot.
7. The 1 hectare iontegrated farm located in Gutlang Proper.

The water source of the farm

Corn production
Four female piglets for next year swine breeding and production.

This animal are fed only with fermented fruits, corn and beans.
Starter animals for next year goat and vermin project.
The daphnia production pond for fish breeding and production activity.
 Different aquarium fish are now produced by thousands inside the farm to support the financial
requirement of the project such Pearl scale, angel fish , fighting fish, mollies, gold fish, janitor, and carp.
 Laying ducks are raised to provide food for the daphnia,

produce eggs and manure for fertilizers.

Different varieties of beans are reproduce and experimented

in the area using local planting methods.
