Summary
142 teachers attended the three courses

In their majority they:

- had graduated from the university 25-30 years ago
- had a BSc in Biology
- were teaching in lyceum
- were teachers in Athenean schools
(it worths to be noted that in the last course there was a
great participation from the peripheral schools).
- were women
- there was an important participation of teachers from the
centres for teacher training and continuing education -EKFE

Conclusion:
There is an obvious need for continuous education of the high school teachers
in the recent advances of Life Sciences
Responsible educational bodies should take advantage of such initiatives and support further future
activities
