    The Grand Rapids Police responded to a shooting on September 14, 2010 where they found a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head on his porch. Witnesses reported that shots were fired from a tan or white sedan with at least 3 males inside, which then fled the scene. The victim, identified as Ricardo D. Fonseca, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating and asking anyone with information to contact them.

    SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

    On Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at 8:00 p.m., The Grand Rapids Police responded to the
    600 block of Stolpe St SW on the report of a shooting. On arrival, police located an
    unresponsive 16 year old male on his porch with a gunshot wound to the head.

    Police were told that shots were fired from the passenger side of a tan or white sedan,
    unknown make and model, traveling east on Stolpe St. The vehicle was occupied by at least
    three males. Witnesses had described further the vehicle fleeing south on Century Ave SW
    following the shooting.

    The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital. He was taken to surgery with a life
    threatening injury. He has been identified as, Ricardo D. Fonseca, a 16 year old resident of
    Grand Rapids.

    The Grand Rapids Police Department Major Case Team is investigating. Anyone with further
    information about this incident is asked to call the Grand Rapids Police Department at 456-
