Other sports/activities will be touch on throughout the year (ie: gymnastics/dance,
dodgeball, etc.). Safety will be stressed at the beginning of every class.
There will also be other topics covered as well, these include:
1. Heart rates
2. Target hearts rates
3. Static, dynamic, and passive flexibility exercises
4. Core strength
5. How muscles work as a functional pair
6. Concepts of:
- flexion
- extension
- rotation
7. Newton’s 3 laws
8. Reflection to the question:
- what does “good enough” mean when it comes to participation in
activities?
- should people spend more time outdoors?
- who is responsible for the environment?
9. First Aid
10. Caring for scrapes, cuts, and burns.
11. (SHARP) Swelling, Heat, Altered, Red, Painful
