Ganito sila nuon… Hindi na tayo papayag ngayon!

Task Force Detainees of the Philippines (TFDP) and Youth

for Rights (Y4R) together with partners and members in
several campuses held series of photo exhibits to
commemorate the 38th Anniversary of the Declaration of
Martial Law by the late President Ferdinand Marcos in
September 21, 1972.

“We cannot avoid but reminisce the dark years of

Philippine history so that we may never ever forget the
supposed lessons learned by our people. We remember,
so that the atrocities of martial rule will never happen
again.” Emmanuel Amistad, TFDP Executive Director said
in a statement.

The photo exhibit dubbed as “Ganito sila nuon… Hindi na

tayo papapayag ngayon!” was launched in De La Salle
College of Saint Benilde, Taft campus in September 20,
2010. It was in partnership with the CSB-Center for Social
Action and Y4R members in DLS-CSB. Leo Cortez of the
CSB-CSA and Jonal Javier of TFDP headed the cutting of
ribbon to open the photo exhibit that will run until
September 24, 2010.

Y4R members in University of Makati and members of

Collective Arts of Students and Thespian (CAST) performed
during the said ceremony.

In September 21, 2010, the same exhibit opened in St.

Joseph’s College in Quezon City. It was spearheaded by St.
Joseph’s Y4R chapter. The opening of the exhibit was
graced by Mr. Factor, the adviser professor for Y4R in St.
Joseph.

The Photo Exhibit will also open in De La Salle University
