Year 13 media communication and production

Topic

My first topic is knife crime, most of the public think it only gang that stab people it isn’t
only gangs it people walking in the straight for example a 15 year old girl stabbed her dad to
death because he asked her to do something.

The medium will be Radio or TV

The angle

The thing I am covering in this topic is most of the public only think only people in gangs
stab people and that normal people working in medium class jobs don’t, most old age
people think when they see young kid who are 15 or 17 wearing caps and hoodies the old
people think they are in gangs by how they dress.

Purpose

The reason why I am making this because too many knifing happened and most people think its
people in gangs when 40% of the time it is not.

The main question this will answer is that anyone walking or working can knife someone not only
people in gangs.

The key point view will be why people want to be in gangs for and if there is a teenager stabbing
someone most of the public will say he/she was in a gang or doing drugs.

The thing I am set out to prove is that not every stabbing that goes on in the world is to do with
gangs and I am going to be looking at why people want to be in a gang for example they are lonely or
don’t have any friends.

Audience

Will this topic is aimed at the audience age from 16 to 24

This will appeal to the audience because knifing these day are done by young kids most people say
but then again older people do knife crime so really it isn’t young people in gangs who stab it older
people too. Maybe 16 to 24 carry knifes around because they are scared or people a bullying them
or they think it makes them look big in front of there mates.
