livery of a new model to our retailers all over the world, each and every step along the way is fascinating to us, even if it has been
repeated within our walls countless times over the past 50, 100 or, soon, 150 years.
We are extremely proud to be celebrating the 150th anniversary of Ligne Roset in 2010- all the more so since Ligne Roset has re-
mained very much a family business, established in the heart of Europe, with its development in no way influenced by anonymous
shareholders. The current directors are grateful to previous generations for the strength of their commitment, their capacity to
apply themselves, and for their innovative ideas. All of these brought to the business a formula for sustainable development, well
before this description became commonly used as a business strategy.
From the history of Ligne Roset we have learned that creativity and the understanding of needs are inseparable. An item of furni-
ture or any object effectively has no true existence unless it has someone to love and acquire it. This is why understanding the ex-

t is easy to confuse the two Breton-born brothers with plastic artists.
The siblings’ working method is unique to them: each has a deep un-
derstanding of the other’s cultural fiber and works empathetically, ex-
pressing feelings by means of forms, materials and colors.
Clouds is manufactured by Danish fabric manufacturer Kvadrat and
exclusively distributed by Ligne Roset all over the world. It brings a new di-
mension to a room, offering the desired warmth and ambiance thanks to its
ingenious combination of the same module in varying colors. With their spe-
cially-developed rubber fixings, each module of Clouds, when used in com-
bination, presents a three-dimensional characteristic: they may be positio-
ned at will and may be located wherever you want. Clouds is available in
Divina fabric in five color combinations, or in Tempo fabric in four color com-
binations, and is supplied in boxes of eight or twenty-four.
In today’s computer age, the cloud is an important concept, symbolizing the
need to be connected to the rest of the world not only in your place of work
but also at home and on the move. Computer companies research means of
offering their clients constant data availability, wherever their location. It is
within this framework that the concept of ‘cloud computing’ was developed:
this entails navigating a cloud of readily available personalized data, facilita-
ting access to a variety of media. For Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the mo-
dular Clouds system reflects people’s current preoccupations and brings a la-
sting sense of warmth and relaxation. The forms themselves are faithful to
the imaginings of the Bouroullec brothers, at once organic and architectural.
The idea of Clouds was born when the two brothers turned down an invita-
tion from Kvadrat to design a showroom in Stockholm, due to a lack of ex-
perience in interior decoration. They devised a way of skillfully modeling a
textile and using the resulting form to both decorate and bring definition to
a room. With the highly technical nature of the fabric treatment Clouds re-
calls the other Bouroullec brothers creations for Ligne Roset, such as the Fa-
cett armchair, chair and loveseat, which evokes the complex folds of Japa-
nese origami.
Clouds is a decorative element of a totally new genre, rich in numerous qua-
lities and created by impassioned designers for those passionate about crea-
tive, contemporary interiors. Few concepts can lead their users to so much
creativity, and thus fulfill so many desires.

With the exception of the thermoformed ABS back interior, Moël is a return
to the all foam know-how of Ligne Roset. It is intended for those who live in
a casual way and wish to create a warm and intimate living space in which to
host their friends. The exterior of this model is entirely fixed by a metallic zip-
per, visible from the front. Available with a high or low back. Covers are re-
movable. The choice of fabrics allows the model and its ottoman to be bi-
colored. Inga Sempé recommends that the top of the ottoman match the in-
terior of the sofa or armchair and that the sides of the ottoman match the ex-
terior of the sofa or armchair.

Pluriel’s design is confident and assured, while still providing all the charac-
teristics of classic comfort. François Bauchet’s aim was to provide a collec-
tion of sleek, tight and distinctly curvaceous pieces. Each element incorpo-
rates elastic webbing suspension, a traditional panel construction edged with
thermoformed ABS to create the desired arcs of the arms, side and back, as
well as cast aluminum feet. All pieces are also available with a low back with
the exception of the sofa. The low back armchair is offered with a swivel or
fixed base.

Book & Look is a new cabinetry program of versatile storage
furniture based on two simple principles: simplicity and elegance. It
offers infinite possibilities. Wall-mounted and stand alone bookcases,
chests with one, two, four or eight doors and low platforms with or
without wall-mounted back panel can be used to create a one-of-a
kind system. A pivoting top may be used on the platform to serve as
a bench. All the elements come in varying heights or widths and are
available in gloss white or black lacquer. The wall-mounted or stand
alone bookcases and the benches are also offered in walnut veneer.
The chest with one door comes with a clear glass door.

Cemia signals a return to clean lines without embellishments or
conspicuous details. With this concept in mind, Peter Maly developed
a collection of twelve distinct pieces for the living room and/or
bedroom. All the elements combine two colors: one for the frame and
one for the drawers and doors. The frame is available in white lacquer
or American walnut veneer and the facades are offered in white,
taupe or black lacquer. The black lacquer fronts pair with the walnut
structure only. The sideboards come with brilliant chrome feet.

The Travel collection is equally attractive from all sides thanks to its
rounded corners and ribbed laminate finish. The sideboard comes on
castors and is available with two doors or two doors and four drawers.
Choice of black, white or aluminum laminate and matching black or
white lacquered glass top. The one-door cabinet comes on castors and
conceals shelves and/or a hanging rail inside, while the open storage
unit is fixed and has five adjustable shelves. These tall and sleek ele-
ments are offered in white, black, red or aluminum laminate finish (in
red only for the one-door cabinet). Mobile narrow and wide chests of

The new Roman collection includes elements for the living room,
dining room, office and bedroom: a bookcase with five or six shelves,
a secretary with flap and pull-up doors, a TV unit with a drawer, a side-
board with three doors and a mirror. The bookcases, secretary and
mirror must be fixed to a wall. The structure of each element comes in
black or white epoxy lacquered steel, with the top and sides joined
together by a patented laser-cut dovetailed assembly. All doors and
drawers are available in gloss black, white or red lacquer. The red and
black fronts pair with the black structure and the white fronts with the
white structure only.

chests, chests of drawers, sideboards, cabinets as well as suspended
chests. New to the collection is a sideboard with sliding coplanar doors

The secretary is available as a bar with the drop door opening to
reveal a mirrored back panel and four racks for storage of wine
glasses. The display cabinet has two clear glass hinged doors with
frame and crosspieces in polished aluminum. The sideboard comes
with two sliding doors or two doors and three shock-absorbing
drawers. The chests of drawers are also equipped with shock-absor-
bing drawers. All doors and drawers have brilliant chrome handles.

arrangements of drawers and niches (combinations 1 to 5). In this way,
individual high-capacity storage units can be created without
sacrificing aesthetics. The niches and drawers can be combined into a
wide range of options. The structure and drawers are available in gloss
white or black lacquer. The niches, with optional LED backlighting,
come in walnut veneer, or gloss black, taupe or bordeaux lacquer. A
