    This joint memorandum circular announces that the government of the Philippines will exclusively use A4 size (210mm x 297mm) paper for all official communications and documents. It aims to standardize paper size used across government agencies to gain advantages of using a single size. Effective immediately, the use of long and short sizes (8" x 13" and 8" x 10.5") will no longer be allowed. Purchases of paper not in A4 size will not be approved and will be considered a violation of existing policies on metrication. Paper purchases must also comply with government procurement standards.
