Katy Perry was born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. She
was raised by Christian pastor parents and listened
only to gospel music which heavily influenced her
first self titled album ‘Katy Hudson’ in 2001. After
the fail of her first album in 2007 she signed with
her fourth record label ‘Capitol Music Group’ and

P adopted the stage name Katy Perry. She released

her first internet single ‘Ur So Gay’ in November
2007 which got attention but didn’t chart. She rose

E to fame with her second single ‘I Kissed a Girl’ in

2008 which topped the international charts. Perry’s
first mainstream album ‘One of the Boys’ came out

R later that year. Her most recent album ‘Teenage

Dream’ was released in August 2010 and reached #1
on the Billboard 200.
