Strategy: A lot of problem solving is taking ideas and items we already
have and putting them together in interesting new ways to produce
creative new outputs.

1. You will analyse an opening sequence from an existing
TV Drama
2. You will be given a storyboard with a selection of shots
from the opening sequence you have analysed
3. In groups of 4 (I will choose groups) you will film your
own version of the storyboard
4. You will use iMovie to edit your footage into an opening
sequence
5. You will view and assess each group¶s work

¦ $
‡ You will each have a turn in the µEditors chair¶ there
will be a signal for when you should swap over with
another member of your group
‡ You need to refer to your storyboard
‡ Check your work regularly
‡ You need to communicate your ideas and listen to
everyone who contributes productively
‡ Remember, you will only have one period on Monday
to finish your opening sequence!
‰ %
Task: Produce a µhow-to¶ guide for new users of
iMovie.
Consider:
- What are the key steps in the editing process?
- What do users need to know about the software?
- Would drawings or diagrams help?

Try to keep it clear and concise, it doesn¶t need to

be a 100 page manual!
