On May 7, 2010 Stats Canada released a report on unemployment figures for
the Canadian economy – Ontario increased 41,000 full time jobs bringing the
total growth since July 2009 to 109,000 (an increase of 1.7%)
Employment in Canada increased by 109,000 in April, the largest monthly gain
in percentage terms since August 2002.
The top 5 economies in 2010 include Canada, US, Norway, Australia & Belgium
Canada’s expected to grow its GDP and increase jobs in 2010 to surpass some
analysts expectations
The Bank of Canada’s summer survey of businesses revealed a surprisingly
upbeat mood among Canada’s leading executives, with 61 per cent expecting
improved conditions and 39 per cent planning to start hiring in the upcoming
12 months.
