    5 AGENDA

    Lecture:

    1. Typography
    • Meet the faces behind type faces.
    • Learn and know the difference between serif and sans serif type.
    • Take a look at examples of good typography in advertising.

    Exercise 1: Using your Sharpie, design a poster using your initials. Your initials
    should represent an interest of yours. For instance music or skeet shooting.
    See examples. You’ll be graded on technique when drawing your type. Use
    a ruler or hard edge. Sketch your design first with a pencil before applying
    Sharpie.

    Activity: Review Cup of Noodles progress

    Exercise 1: Ray Ban Sun Glasses


    SMP: Ray Ban blocks the sun like no other shades.

    Homework 1: Begin comping chosen Cup of Noodles ads. Minimum of three


    (3) ads per campaign.
    Homework 2: Read chapters 1-3 (Pages 1-70) in ‘Hey Whipple, Squeeze This’.
    Homework 3: Post 6 examples of typography that you like.
