1. What is observational learning?

Definition:

Observational learning, also known as social learning theory, is a model of learning in


psychology. It is based on the principle of modifying or adopting new behavior after
observing another individual performing it. The observer will either perform or avoid the
behavior based on the consequence the model received after doing the behavior. This
method of learning is often seen in children who model their actions on those of their
parents.

2. What is latent learning?

Definition:

The word latent means "existing but previously unknown." Use this definition to
remember that of latent learning. Latent learning is learning that has taken place but
doesn't show up until later.

3. How do you improve your memory?

1. Focus your attention on the materials you are studying.


2. Avoid cramming by establishing regular study sessions.
3. Structure and organize the information you are studying.
4. Utilize mnemonic devices to remember information.
5. Elaborate and rehearse the information you are studying.
6. Relate new information to things you already know.
7. Visualize concepts to improve memory and recall.
8. Teach new concepts to another person.
9. Pay extra attention to difficult information.
10. Vary your study routine.
