 Proforma invoice – invoice used to reply for
inquiry.
 Commercial invoice – it is also known as
“DOCUMENT OF CONTENTS” because it
consist of all the details.
 Consular invoice – it is a document used by
American countries. Mainly used to impose
duties by importing countries.
Custom documentation

 Shipping bill - Main document required by


custom authority.

 It is also known as “BILL OF EXPORT”.

 Transport documentation – Mate’s Receipt,Bill


Of Lading & Airway Bill.
Mate’s Receipt :
when the goods are loaded in ship the captain of
the ship will issue “Mate’s Receipt”.

The mate receipt consists of :


date of shipment & delivery.
name of the ship.
details about the packages.
Bill of Lading
 It is a document issued by shipping company
acknowledging the receipt of goods for
boarding.

 A document title for goods.

 It is a contractual evidence for transportation


of goods.
Airway Bill
 It is a receipt issued by an Airline for
carriage of goods.
 And it is also known as Air consignment
note.

 It acts as a contract between the air


lines to carry the goods to destination.
Certificate of origin

It is prepared by original manufacturer.

Certified by quasi-official authority.

Certificate of insurance & inspection.


Dock receipt

Issued by ware house authorities.

An acknowledgement for goods received


for shipment.

Itis the basic document required while


preparing Bill Of lading.
PAYMENT DOCUMENT

 Bill of exchange - An unconditional order


signed by the drawer directing a certain
person to pay a some of money to the bearer.

 It consists of name of drawer, drawee, sum of


money & date of payment.
