What is International Cultural Performance?

As a member of the Foreign Staff, one of the fun activities you will be involved in is

teaching your group of about 7 students a short song, chant or dance from your

culture. Then, on the second night of the camp, you and your students will perform

your song, chant or dance for everyone.

For this activity, we’d like to encourage you to sing or chant in your native language.

But explain the meaning in English to your students, teach and give instructions in

English.

Also, the presentation should not exceed 3 minutes, as there will be many groups

performing. This will be a competition, so please take full advantage of the practice

time allotted to each group before the activity begins.

Not all of us are professional singers or dancers, but remember, that is not as

important as your attitude and willingness to open the world to the students through

an international environment. We would like you to give these students fond memories

of you and your country.
