MENTORING GUIDE FOR PARIED GROUPS

There are five easy steps to start you mentoring experience.

1. Have a casual meeting outside the office!

Once you’re paired to a mentor and mentee group, why don’t you find a time and
have a cup of coffee together! Don’t feel too obligated. Try to think this a great
opportunity for you getting to know your colleagues better and making new friends.

2. Achieve a common goal in the meeting!

Though we’ll hand out you each a list of the areas and time schedule you selected on
your application form. It could be a good idea if you can discusses about them and
come out a common goal you want to achieve together. Goals like:
 Getting to know the detailed sale process (internal staff getting to external
sales)
 Responsibility of your interested next position ( get qualified for promotion)

Will help the mentor to address the issues you really care about.

3. Set up a schedule to achieve your goal together!

Though we hope each member in this program can have fun, we have to make sure
the quality as well. Set a base hour number for each week you both agreed and
manage your time for it. You may want to download the “Mentoring group contract”
from the company website to keep things formal!

4. On-going learning experience on daily work!

One way we found work the best is to crasis the learning with work. Don’t hesitate
to ask for help when you meet problems in work and don’t rely on others to fix it
either. As a mentor, don’t forget your mentees when you find an opportunity for
them to learn.

5. Last step! Keep records! Your feedbacks are value to the program!
There are checklist and feedback forms on company’s website for download. It’s a
good way to keep records by writing blogs on a regular basis. Mentors and mentees
can exchange their blogs so they can work out better way for communication and
learning. The feedback we received will help to improve the program and process.
