Turning Westel 6100 Modem into Bridge Mode

Click on Disconnect
Bridge mode Setup

Click on Configuration
Type in modem secure username and
Password (Remember: It is usually different from VOL username and password)
Click on VC Configurations
Click on first Edit button
Select Bridge mode here

Keep mode as Routed Bridge and Disable DHCP Client and


then change the mode to Bridge

Click on Set VC
Click on DHCP Configurations
Click on OK.
Power-Cycle the modem
Now Modem is set to bridge mode. Connect the
router

Configuring Lynksys.

Type 192.168.1.1

Select ‘Encryption’ and type the WEP KEY

WEP key may be

Select ADVANCED WIRELESS SETTINGS.AUTHENTICATION is
‘open system’.
To Configure D-LINK

ADMIN USERNAME ---’ADMIN’


PASSWORD--- ‘BLANK’
Click on ‘HOME’.
Click on ‘WAN’
Select ‘PPPOE’
Type ‘username’
‘password’.
Select ‘dynamic
PPOE’.
Click on ‘Apply’.

Select this for a DHCP cx


Click ‘home’.
Select ‘Wireless’.
