As for the phones, I felt very strongly that $260,000 a year was too much for the county to be spefding on phones. That_anount has decreased by $85,000 since, the policy waz revritten, and some staff menkers were identified az not needing a phone. Thet waa my goal, and it wae met. I even said in the public meeting that the commissioners nesded 4 way to communicate with residents since we did not have an office. [ never mad a point that commissioners should be getting rid of their phones. 1 already had one, so T did not need two. 5 the personal gain for me to attend conferences is zero, and they actually cost me money az [ explains: ‘You and deff are the only commissioners that gain from that, and it does not benefit the county. That is @ true personal gain paid for out’ of general fund. My travel expenses on the Gther hand have a direct benefit to the revidente, Have a great night!
