Share your events with an individual, a group, or the

whole world

7 reasons to use Google Calendar

1. Share your schedule

 Let your co-workers, family, and friends see

your calendar, and view schedules that others
have shared with you. When you know when
everyone is free or busy, scheduling is a
snap.
2. Get your calendar on the go

 With two-way syncing to your mobile phone's

built-in calendar or a mobile version of
Google Calendar that's made for the small
screen, you can access your calendar while
you're away from your desk.
3. Never forget another event again

 Customizable reminders help you stay on

schedule. You can choose to be notified by
email or get a text message sent right to your
mobile phone.
4. Send invitations and track RSVPs

 Invite other people to events on your

calendar. Guests can RSVP to your events by
email or via Google Calendar.
5. Sync with your desktop applications

 Access your calendar however and whenever

you want by syncing events with
Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal and
Mozilla Sunbird.
6. Work offline

 Know where you're supposed to be even

when you don't have internet access. With
offline access, you can view a read-only
version of your calendar no matter where you
are.
7. All this is free?

 Yep.
Different Options
Display a calendar on your site
 If you choose to share your calendar with others, you can create a
webpage where they can browse through your calendar — even if
they don't have a Google Calendar account. You can also embed an
interactive calendar of your events into your website or blog.

Here's how:
 Login and click the small triangle next to the name of the calendar

you want to share on the left side of your screen, and choose
"Calendar Settings".
 Click the HTML icon next to "Calendar Address".

 Create a webpage where people can browse through your calendar:

◦ Your calendar is available for viewing at the main link listed in the popup
box. You can share this link to your calendar with anyone you want.
 Embed your calendar into your site or blog:
◦ Click the "configuration tool" link from the popup box.
◦ Configure your embeddable calendar to your liking, and paste the HTML
created at the bottom of the page into the design of your website or blog.
Let people save an individual event from your site

 You can add a Google Calendar event

reminder button to your site by inserting a
special snippet of HTML into your page. Users
who click on your button can quickly save
your event on their Google Calendars, which
will help remind them about your event and
about your website. By adding a Google
Calendar event reminder button to your site,
you acknowledge that you understand and
agree to the Program Policies.
 After you click "Create button HTML", the
code for your button should appear above.
Just copy this HTML and paste it into the
design of your page to add your Google
Calendar button.
