New Online Database Subscriptions and

Reference Materials at the Library
The UHS Library now sub-
scribes to several Salem Press
Research Databases. These
databases include:
Salem Health—provides an
extended series of healthcare
information for patients, fami-
lies, caregivers, and students
Salem History—diverse li-
brary of biography, history,
and primary source document
reference
Salem Literature—an exten-
sive collection of author and
title-specific reference includ-
ing literary criticisms
Salem Science—provides
complete coverage of a vari-
ety of scientific topics
UHS is starting a Book Club!
These databases can all be
accessed from the library’s
website by clicking on the tab
labeled “Online Databases.”
After clicking on the link to
the database you are inter-
ested in, you will be prompted
for a password. Type in the
word “uxbridge” and begin
searching!
Accompanying the subscrip-
tions to these online databases
are some new reference mate-
rials we now have available in
the library’s collection. These

Teen Read Week October 17th —23rd

Teen Read Week is almost upon us! Teen Read Week is
an initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Asso-
ciation (YALSA). It gives librarians, educators, parents
and teens a chance to celebrate books, libraries, and the
art of reading. This year’s theme is Books with Beat @
Your Library, which encourages teens to read poetry,
audiobooks, books about music and more. Don’t forget
to visit the library this week to check out some displays
showcasing “Books with Beat.” And don’t forget to
stop by your local library as well for more programming
and events.

Advanced Reader Copies from various
publishers. If you don’t mind a few typos
in your novels, this is a great way to pre-
view some new books before they actu-
ally hit store bookshelves. I’d love to get
a group of students together to preview
these books for me as they come in. If
