Notice Writing

A notice is a very short piece of writing which is usually


formal in style. It is widely used by individuals or
organizations to announce events and celebrations,
births and deaths. Notices are meant to be pasted on
special boards as they are prepared for specific
purpose.
While writing a notices we should keep some points in
mind as your notice should give complete information
and must be written clearly and in easy language.
Good & Effective notice must include:-

Name of the Organization, Institution or Office issuing


it.
Date of issuing the notice.
The heading ‘Notice’.
Eye-catching caption or heading to hold the immediate
attention of the reader.
Purpose for which it has been written should be clear.
Details of schedule i.e. date; time, venue, programme,
duration etc. should be properly mentioned.
Official/non-official Notice should have:-

 A circular is a kind of notice, addressed and
copied to a large number of people. It may
still address them with a singular salutation
such as customers, subscribers, investor or
client.

 There are two types of circulars;


 1. Administrative
 2. Financial

same time it must conform to some steps i.e.

 Circulars are very important for the
communication of policy, for information and
for education of the Service from the
authority to staff.
 Through it staff are able to understand their

rights and responsibilities and is thereby


guided to know what to ask for and what not
to ask for.
