ANERA HONORS QATAR AND KUWAIT FOR AIDING GAZA's CHILDREN

ANERA (American Near East Refugee Aid) has honored Qatar and Kuwait for their
generous contributions and support for the children of Gaza. ANERA, which has been
working in Gaza for 25 years, also honored the American firm Firedoll for supporting
agricultural projects aimed at making Gazan families more self-sufficient.

In presenting the awards to Qatar and Kuwait, ANERA Board Vice Chair Ambassador
Skip Gnehm pointed to their concern for Gaza's most vulnerable children. "It is a
testament to their trust in ANERA and their commitment to investing in Gaza's
children who deserve a better future." said Ambassador Gnehm.

ANERA's never-ending battle against anemia and malnutrition has been concentrated
in the Milk for Preschoolers program that provides fortified milk and biscuits to some
20,000 preschoolers every day of the school term. Qatar contributed $1 million two
years in a row. Kuwait added $1 million this year to help sustain the program.

Ambassador Salem Al-Sabah of Kuwait and Ambassador Ali Bin Fahad Al-Hajri of
Qatar accepted the gifts during ANERA's Annual Dinner, which was held October 1,
2010 in Washington, DC. The hand-painted calligraphy by artist Nawaf Soliman read
"Generosity. Giving. On behalf of the children of Gaza, ANERA extends our gratitude
for your generous support..."

In accepting their honors, the ambassadors of Kuwait and Qatar underscored their
concern for the well-being and future of Gaza's children and praised ANERA for its
continuing work in Gaza.

ANERA also honored the US -based Firedoll Foundation, which has been supporting
ANERA's agricultural development program in Gaza since 2006. Firedoll's
contributions enabled ANERA to implement an innovative plastic mulch recycling
program that has helped farmers clean their land, improve the environment and
provide jobs.
