Hello all,

I’m sending out this “mid-month” update to share a few weekend events that may
be of interest to you.

Multifaith Peace Prayer

The Global Clergy Association of Canada, a local organization of various
religion and faith leaders of the Greater Vancouver, is arranging a Peace
Prayer for the victims of Tuesday’s earthquake in Haiti. This terrible natural
disaster has devastated the lives of Haitians. Thousands perished in the
quake and still thousands are trapped in the rubles. We will have the prayer
for Haitians at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Michael Church
Hall, 12996-60 Av in Surrey.
Please come and join us.

Multifaith Storytelling Kits

The “Multifaith Storytelling Kit Project” meets again this weekend:
Date: Sunday, January 17, 2010
Time: 2:00-4:00pm
Location: Guilford Public Library
Please contact me if you would like to learn more or get involved in this
project. A copy of the project manual can be accessed though the link at the
bottom of this newsletter.

World Religion Day

The third Sunday in January is celebrated in many communities as “World Religion
Day.” The aim of this day is to increase interfaith understanding and harmony by
emphasizing the common denominators underlying all religions.
