Walking Interview at 9:00 A.M. on Nov. 10, 2010 for Recruitment of two Junior Research
Fellows (JRF)

Candidates from Indian nationals are invited for attending walking interview of two JRF posts under
two sponsored research projects as given below:

Project No. 1: Finite element stress modeling of the subducting Indian lithosphere and the overlying
structures in northeast part of India (sponsored by Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, New
Delhi), No. of Post: One, Date of completion: March 23, 2012

Project No. 2: Monitoring and Study of Local Seismicity of the Eastern Indian Shield Region
(sponsored by Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, New Delhi), No. of Post: One, Date of
completion: June 10, 2012

Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Sc. Tech./M. Tech in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics /Exploration


Geophysics
First Class with consistently good academic record
Preferable: Knowledge in earthquake data handling
Age Limit: 28 years
Salary: Rs. 12,000 per month + HRA as per ISM Rule
The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the projects.
The candidates selected will have no claim for ISM permanent positions under any circumstances.
Candidates appeared for the walking interview at 9:00 A.M. on Nov. 10, 2010 in the Department of
Applied Geophysics, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad will have to produce a complete bio-data
including educational qualifications, experiences, age, position held, email ID, phone number, etc. and
a copy of all requisite certificate along with its original. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for
attending the walking interview.
