 Spelling Test – Due to the short week of school there will be no spelling or spelling test this
week.

 Reformation Service – Thank you to those students who participated in yesterday’s

Reformation service(s). They did a great job!

 No School – This Wednesday, November 3rd, school will dismiss at noon. Homeroom services
will still be offered for the afternoon beginning at noon! There will be no school this Thursday
and Friday, November 4th-5th. The teachers will be attending the Arizona/California Teachers’
Conference held at California Lutheran High School.

 Parent/Teacher Conferences – Parent/teacher conferences will be held November 16-18. A

sign-up note will be sent home this week. Please watch for it and then return it promptly so
that the teachers can work together to get everyone scheduled. Thank you!

 Sonshine Station – This is a program held at Apostles for children, ages 3 through 4th grade
which consists of stories, puppets, and activities (including a train ride) to teach about God’s
love. It is offered the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The next Sonshine
Station will be held this Saturday, November 6th. This would be a great opportunity for you to
invite your relatives, neighbors, friends, etc.!

 Report Cards – Due to the short week, report cards will be sent home next Monday.

 “Fun-Raiser” – Next Tuesday, November 9th, from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., you are invited to
help support our school and get to know Apostles’ friends and neighbors at California Pizza
Kitchen. Apostles will earn 20% of the meals purchased. In order to qualify, your purchase
must be accompanied by the official flier. A flier will be sent home soon. If you do not receive
one by next Tuesday, please stop in the office to pick one up.

 Reading Week/Used Book Fair – This will be held November 15-19. If you have any used
books that you’d be willing to donate, there’s a box on the table just inside our classroom
where you can drop them off. The class that brings in the most books will win a reward! It just
might be that they get to throw water balloons at our principal and maybe some other teachers
too! 
