REGULAR VERBS:

1. All regular verbs whose infinitives end in a vowel sound or a voiced consonantal
sound are pronounced /d/ in the past simple ( and past participle):

Vowels: play // - played /d /


Voiced consonantal sounds:

/l/ fill- filled /…ld/
/m/ climb- climbed /…md/

2. All regular verbs whose infinitives end in a voiceless consonantal sound are
