RIBBON CUTTING PLANNED ON EAST FORK ROAD PROJECT

Hamilton, MT. – The public is invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony this Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at
11:00 a.m. at the Sula Community Center. The ceremony will serve as the official opening of the newly
rehabilitated East Fork Bitterroot Road. Funding for the $4.3 million project was provided by the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Highlights of the project include more than 14 miles of new asphalt
pavement, culvert and drainage reconditioning to improve water quality and reduce erosion in the river and new
traffic and safety signs.

Schellinger Construction of Columbia Falls was the contractor on the project, which provided 48 local jobs.
Federal Highway Administration, Forest Service, Montana Department of Transportation, and Ravalli County
officials will all participate in the ribbon cutting. A potluck lunch by the Sula Country Life Club is planned
following the ceremony

When: Tuesday, November 9, 2010 – 11:00 a.m.

Where: Sula Community Center - 405 East Fork Road - Sula, MT.
Directions: From Hamilton, travel 37 miles south to Sula. Turn left (west) on East Fork Road
and follow signs to Community Center, approximately 1.5 miles on right side of road.
