Young people of our time are quite aware that both their own
personal destiny and the destiny of our world are ultimately in their
hands. This open forum provides a rare opportunity to reflect on this
extremely important issue and consider practical ways of shaping our
destiny in discourse with a distinguished author, scholar, and peace
educator. This evening is specially geared for young adults and youth
of 15 and up.
Dr. H. B. Danesh is the founder and president of the International
Education for Peace Institute (Canada and Switzerland), visiting faculty
at the European Peace University (Austria); World Peace Academy,
University of Basel (Switzerland), and the former president of Landegg
International University, Switzerland. He is a retired professor of
conflict resolution, peace education, and psychiatry. Among his areas
of research and expertise are peace studies, nature and dynamics of
healthy marriage and family, and psychology of spirituality. Dr. Danesh
is the creator of the internationally acclaimed Education for Peace
Program and author of more than a dozen books and fifty articles
