I choose to write about sharks because they are the most
fearsome fish in the sea. Sharks have been in the oceans
for over 350 million years.
Sharks are found in all seas. They generally do not
live in freshwater, with a few exceptions such as
the Bull Sharks and the River Sharks which can
swim both in seawater and freshwater. Sharks are
common down to depths of 2,000 metres (7,000
ft), and some live even deeper, but they are almost
entirely absent below 3,000 metres (10,000 ft).
The deepest confirmed report of a shark is a
Portuguese Dogfish at 3,700 metres (12,100 ft).
The Great White is the largest predatory fish.

    4ighty percent of
marine pollution comes from land-based activities.
The majority of the waste we produce on land
eventually ends up in the oceans.
Sharks like every other creature learn to adapt to their
environment because they need to survive, but these polluted
environments cause them to be more fierce.
h dead shark washed ashore in Ship Island,
Mississippi. Two weeks after the BP oil spill in the
Gulf of Mexico, humans already are seeing signs of
stress in the ecosystem. Of May 4, 2010 this year.
It is very important for us to preserve the habitats of
marine life. We can do this by stop throwing trash in
the ocean and by controlling chemical waste.
