(i) Qualitative (ii)Quantative (iii) Population & (iv) Sample….

Quantitative variable: Quantitative methods are those which focus on numbers and
frequencies rather than on meaning and experience.

Qualitative variable: Qualitative methods are ways of collecting data which are
concerned with describing meaning, rather than with drawing statistical inferences.

Population: Total number of variables of a data set under consideration.

Sample: Small amount of variables from population to understand the variance of

data set is known as sample.

Now taking data sets…

1. DATA SET OF VALUES OF CAPACITOR USED IN A CIRCUIT:

 This is a type of data which have quantitative variables

 Population = 21(total number of variables).

 Sample = Any small set from a data set.. eg; {1.8,2.0,3,8}

2. DATA SET OF BEHAVIOUS OF TRANSISTOR:

Linear discrete continous linear Q-point

Symetric buffing gain discrete unchanged

 This is a type of data which have qualtative variables.

 This(linear,gain,….) can be coded to be appear as numeric but their numbers

are meaningless.
