Mayor Of Nenagh.

Minister
As Mayor of Nenagh I have watched while you have stood over the
destruction of our Health Services in North Tipperary. Your actions as Minister of
Health have led to misery for the people of North Tipperary who have to travel the
long distance to your so called “ Centre of Excellence” where patients have to suffer
the indignity of a long wait to enter A and E and then a longer wait in a corridor
before being allocated a bed.
There is of course no coincidence to the fact that your pet project the private Hospital
in the public grounds of the Limerick Regional Hospital will be a reality soon. It is also
no coincidence that this private Hospital would go some way to make up for the beds
lost in the closure of Ennis and Nenagh. Your plan is to force people into this private
hospital where people will have no problem getting a bed if they can afford to pay for
it while the rest of us can DIE.
I have also watched the destruction of psychiatric services in North Tipperary sank on
your empty promises to our most vulnerable of people in our society but of course they
don’t have access to large wads of notes needed to access your private healthcare
project so they don’t mean anything to you.
There is also a crises here where people young and old are putting off the need to go
to Hospital if they need to go after hours. They would rather wait until the morning
rather than chance a trip to your “centre of excellence” if they die at home they are
not even a statistic. The time for proper decorum has long since gone, You are indeed
a disgrace to humanity and On behalf of my constituents I ask you to do the
honourable thing and resign as Minister Of Health before you do any more damage to
the Health Service.
