This document provides instructions for a number counting game called "Ten, Nine, Eight... Game" that involves students passing a ball around a circle while counting sequentially. The game teaches numbers and involves students saying the next number in the sequence when they catch the ball. The document suggests the game can be made more challenging by having students count backward or say only even numbers.

Game Time: 5–10 minutes You will need a soft ball.
• Put the students in a circle.
• Say a number (for example, 11) and explain to the students that the person you throw the ball to will have to say the following number (12). Then the person who has the ball throws it to another student, who catches it and says the number which follows (13) and so on. • Depending on the level of the class and how good they are at numbers you can try to play other variations of this game. You can ask them to say numbers in a decreasing sequence (10, 9, 8, 7…), only even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8...), etc.
