INTRODUCTION
What is a Brand?
Brand is a name, term, sign, symbol, or design, or a
combination of them, intended to identify the goods
or services of one seller or group of sellers and to
differentiate them from those of competitors.
Need of brands.
Sellers can develop a sense of trust among the
consumers.
Emergence of new brands. Consumers have more
variety of products coming into the market satisfying
their needs.
Status factor – customers are ready to pay a high price.

2000 - First phone with Hindi menu (Nokia 3210).
