RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION

Data may be obtained either from the primary sources or from the secondary sources. A
primary source is a one that itself collect the data and a secondary source is a one that
makes use of available data which was collected by some other agencies. Depending on
the source, statistical data is classified under two categories.

PRIMARY DATA
SECONDARY DATA
Primary is that which is collected for the first time and thus happens to be original in
character.
Secondary is that which is already being collected by someone else and which has
already passed through the statistical process.

SAMPLE DESIGN AND DATA COLLECTION

My research is based upon secondary data which is collected from various Books,
Internet and various records of LIC.
 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

1. This project is entirely based upon secondary data so, it lacks the personal
touch.
2. Because of time constraint, I was not able to collect much of information.
