technologies of laughter
 Is an aquarium full of “sensitive” water that reacts to touch
alongside a series of light animations. The visitor has the freedom
of playing with the water and depending on the intensity of the
touch, the aquarium will laugh to varying extent, and also at the
same time will change the intensity of the luminous animations. The
project has various goals: the first is to create the illusion that the
water could react to touch as if it was alive; the second is to give
human characteristics – like laughter and tickling – to something
inanimate; and the third is to use technological manipulations to
enable physical contact, and to create something playfull.
 Concept and ideas

Two main concepts sustained the project's

idea:

One of the objectives of this project is to propose a different

perpective and aproach of something inamimated
by giving it the capacity of reacting to touch as if it was,
somehow, a human. In order to achive an effect like this, the option
is the water, because the of the physical sensations that provokes
as well as psychological.
 Tickles:

The tickle is simply nervous reactions that they happen

when something or somebody touches some parts of our
body. But also they are mechanism to reinforce familiar
and social bonds. In spite of being an answer to physical
stimulus, it owns a duality that establishes a bridge
between the physical and psicological/emotional.
The installation
*motion tracking : detect the water movements with the
help of a camera and to transform the movement in a
signal to start the sound and the visual efects.
