In total, the new GOP leadership in the Minnesota House and Senate will be reducing
the number of committees from 61 to 40, a reduction of approximately 35%.

The new committee structure will save an immediate estimated savings of


$250,000 - $300,000 in the Minnesota Senate. Total preliminary savings for
the committee redesign in the House and Senate is $750,000.00
