US$150,000,000 ZERO COUPON CONVERTIBLE BONDS DUE 2012 (“BONDS”)

ISSUED BY CHINA MILK PRODUCTS GROUP LIMITED (THE “COMPANY”)

The Company wishes to announce that it had on 14 April 2009 repurchased Bonds having
an aggregate principal amount of US$800,000 (the “Repurchased Bonds”) by way of an
on market purchase.

The Repurchased Bonds were repurchased at the price of US$760,000 and the settlement
of the Repurchased Bonds took place on 17 April 2009.

Following settlement, the Repurchased Bonds have been cancelled, and the aggregate
principal amount of Bonds remaining outstanding following the cancellation of the
Repurchased Bonds as well as the cancellation of the Bonds repurchased pursuant to the
Company’s recent invitation to tender is US$146,200,000.
