Light

Just a spark of light,

Then it went out of sight,
Just a glimpse of hope,
That night,
The right inspiration to elope,
When the world became bright,
Our night,

But,
Once the shadows return I need to cope,
I gave it my best fight,
Held tight to this rope,
Unwillingly gave way to the pain,
No more may love acclaim,
Tonight,

Just a touch of light,

Now it is out of sight,
Vanishing all hope,
Into the shadows,
Never being able to climb the rising slope,
This telltale night,
It was just a glimmer of light,
