First, button up your shirt all the way, including your collar.

Flip up your collar and place the tie around

your neck.
Choose your tie knot: the Four-in-Hand knot, the Double knots, the Windsor knot, the half-Windsor knot.
Once you have knotted your necktie, put your collar back down.

The icing on the cake: the dimple

The dimple is a little hollow right below the knot. It is the must of a good knot tie.
Before tighten the knot, place your index finger bellow the knot in the middle and form an hollow by
squeezing the two sides of the necktie. Then tighten your knot and gradually slip your finger out. The
dimple should remain in the center.

The Four-in-Hand Knot

Classic and simple to do, the Four-in-Hand Knot is the most popular.
The knot is narrow and slightly asymmetrical. This knot is appropriate for a button-down shirt and for your
neckties with a heavy fabric.

The Double knot

this large knot is a simple alternative to the Four-in-Hand Knot.

The Windsor knot

A bulky and triangular knot, pefect for your great occasions.
It is best suited for spread collar shirts (like italian ones).

The half-Windsor knot

A triangular tie knot, less wide than its brother the Windsor knot.
