V Global warming occur when the earth heats up
(the temperature rises). It happens when
greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water
vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane) trap heat
and light from the sun in the earth¶s
atmosphere, which increases the
temperature. This hurts many people, animals,
and plants. Many cannot take the change, so
they die.
V Global Warming is caused by many things. The
causes are split up into two groups, man-made
and natural causes.

V ’atural causes are created by nature. One natural
cause is the release of methane gas from arctic
tundra and wetlands.
V Another natural cause is that the earth goes
through a cycle of climate change.

V Man-made causes probably do the most
damage. There are many man-made causes.
Pollution is one of the biggest man-made
problems. Pollution comes in many shapes
and sizes. Burning fossil fuels is one thing that
causes pollution and excess use of cooling
devices.
V Global warming can cause a rapid rise in the
sea level.
V Reduce the amount of land for crop.
V Increase temperature of air.
V The methane gas that is trapped under the ice
could be released into the atmosphere having
bad effect on the environment
V Animals are becoming extinct in some area.
V Increase in the temperature can cause health
problems
V Glacier are melting
V Sea level is rising causing coastal area to
disappear
V îon't leave appliances on stand by
V Cover your pots while cooking
V Reuse your shopping bags
V Buy fresh foods instead of frozen
V Turn off lights when you leave the room
V Keep room cool by closing blinds, curtains or
shades
V If everybody stick to these rules, we can stop
global warming to an extent. So please take
into consideration what I have said, and try to
do your part. After all, it will be our next
generation which has to suffer.
