This study is aimed to reveal the impact of certification to the performance of public Elimentary
school science teachers, viewed aspect made lesson plan and carried out their lesson plan in a
class.
This study was performed at 13 public Elimentary School in Praya Barat Daya. The samples
research are 13 science teachers were have passed certification. Respondent in this research
was given achievement to the science teacher’s performance are 13 headmasters, 26 peer
teachers, 13 supervisors of science, and 130 students from 13 school.
The data were collected using questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation. The
data were collected then analyzed by using descriptive statistical, and cross tabs for all aspects.
The triangulation technically was used for the validation of the data.
The result of the research reveals that average value from performance of public Elimentary
school teachers before and after passed certification that made lesson plan and carried out
their lesson plan in a class is categorized by sufficient. It means that teachers science not have a
significant change and still have performance before passed certification. Even a performance
teacher decrease, after passed certification. About 13 public Elimentary Schools, there are 4
science teachers have a good performance (30,77%) and 9 science teachers have a sufficient
performance (69,23%).
