PENINSULA

Land that rises much higher


than the land around it (higher
than a hill).

into a bigger body of water like
a river.
TRIBUTARY

A large part of the sea or ocean

is partly surrounded by land.

GULF

A part of a sea or ocean that is


partly surrounded by land.
They
are also smaller than gulfs.

BAY

Low land lying between hills or


mountains.

VALLEY
A large body of salty water that
covers a large area. There are
five of these on Earth.

OCEAN

A long natural stream of water


that flows through the land.
