There are four particles that cause the present tense verb to enter the state of jazm, namely:
 ‫َلم‬ Not
 ‫َل َم ْا‬ Not yet
 ‫اَل ِم أَم ّر‬ Do/should
ْ
 ْ‫اَل ِم َن ِهي‬ Do not/should not
If any of these particles are placed before ‫ل‬
ُ ‫ َي ْف َع‬then the final vowel is dropped, eg:
‫ ي ْفع ُلون = َلم ي ْفع ُلوا‬+ ‫َلم‬ ‫ ي ْفعاَل ِن = َلم ي ْفعاَل‬+ ‫َلم‬
