    Type II diabetes mellitus results from hereditary insulin resistance which impairs insulin secretion from beta cells in the pancreas. When beta cells can no longer meet the body's demands for insulin to process glucose, blood sugar levels rise leading to symptoms like fatigue, irritability, frequent urination, poor wound healing and blurred vision. Left uncontrolled, this forms type II diabetes.
