Disobedient stubborn bonehead rebellious

behaviors (Ignore warnings)

Philosophers, theologians, anthropologists, psychiatrists, sociologists,
criminologists have attempted to answer the age old dilemma of why
mankind has exhibited stubborn, bonehead, rebellious or disobedient
behaviors. Let's examine why mankind has always ignored warnings.

Online Etymology Dictionary shows that the word obey means to pay
attention, give ear or listen.

Conversely, disobey simply means to mishear or hear incorrectly.

Our human ear toggles back and forth from either of two states
1. Low (humble/humility - listen to warnings)
2. High (pride/proud - ignore warnings)

State # 1 the human ear will listen or pay attention to warnings

State # 2 the human ear will not listen or pay attention to warnings

The idiom “Swallow your pride” most often applies to persons who have
refused to humble him or herself to admit he or she has been wrong.

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon

Pride (occurs 49 times in 46 verses in KJV)

Proud (occurs 48 times in 47 verses in KJV)
Humble (occurs 25 times in 24 verses in KJV)
Humility (occurs 7 times in 7 verses in KJV)

Observe in the KJV how consistent the Bible has issued warnings for all
mankind to shy away from espousing a prideful or proud spirit.
