What are the Sex hormones?
stimulates the body to develop sex characteristics and
controlling sexual functions.

What are the roles of sex hormones in the
development of the body?
IN PUBERTY
Puberty starts at the age of 8-13 (average).
Estrogen develops and shape the breast,
change as well.
The menstrual period will start.
IN PREGNANCY
The level of estrogen and progesterone rise in this
stage.
Thicken the womb or uterus
Increase the volume of blood supply to the womb
and breasts.
Relax the muscles of the womb sufficiently to
make room for the growing baby.
IN MENOPOSE
The woman’s body
produces less estrogen
and progesterone.
Menstruation becomes
less frequent, eventually
